Accidentally brought to earth by Dr. Saul Erdel's experiments in teleportaion, the Martian called J'onn J'onzz was forever sranded on our world. With his Martian shape-shifting powers, he created a human identity, becoming john jones, a Denver police detective. Solving crimes as a detective, he also operated as the super-hero who became known as the Martian Manhunter. With his powers of super-strength, flight, invisibility, and telepathy, the Martian Manhunter was one of the founding members of the Justice League of America.
